Launched in 2007, the Intercollegiate Surgical Curriculum Programme (ISCP) offers a GMC-approved framework for surgical training in the UK. Its parent body, the Joint Committee on Surgical Training (JCST) works on behalf of the four Royal Colleges based within the UK and Ireland.
The aim of the ISCP is to present the training curriculum in a clear and accessible format, whilst offering a method of recording achievements. It is hoped that this record will provide patients with surgeons who are not only qualified, but also able to showcase their abilities. Thus, in its current form, does the ISCP strive to create the framework and tools necessary to allow higher levels of training to surgeons.

On 18 August 2020, the College hosted its first ISCP webinar titled "Good trainers seek feedback – the ISCP website is the FST recommended tool'.
