The Faculty of Surgical Trainers (FST) Annual Conference is just a few weeks away!

FST Surgical Director, Alexander Phillips looks forward to welcoming you to this year’s Surgical Training - Excising the Barriers Conference on Friday 13 October 2023 at The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. The Conference will highlight equality and diversity issues within surgical training, bringing into focus where these issues arise and how people have dealt with them.

 

Programme:

The Conference offers an incredible opportunity to engage with world-class experts as they dissect the challenges and present innovative solutions for fostering equality and diversity in the surgical field. Network with like-minded professionals, share valuable experiences, and be part of the movement to revolutionise surgical training.

  • Alice Hartley - Consultant Urological Surgeon, South Tyneside and Sutherland NHS Foundation Trust

  • Sesi Hotonu - Paediatric Surgery Registrar, NHS Education for Scotland
  • Uttam Shiralkar - Surgical Performance Coach

Abstract Competition:

The theme for abstracts is Equality and Diversity in Surgical Education and Training.

Prize will be awarded to the winner of the competiton.
